Email ScottHi, I'm Scott Cody, the preaching minister at Herrin. I've been part of this congregation since 1993 and love Southern Illinois and the church family at Herrin. When I'm not preaching, I love photography, wood working, yard work (except for the sweltering days of August) and being around friends and family.
I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia and my wife Brenda is from St. Louis. If you want to know the unbelievable story of how we met, just ask me. While I'm serving as the minister of the Herrin Church of Christ, Brenda is running "The Country Porch" a wonderful gift shop she owns. And Anna . . . well she's a story all to herself. She's the littlest one in Herrin High School and loving every minute of it.
I've got a son who just got out of the Navy and great friends and family all across the country. But most importantly, I've got a God who knows me by name and surrendered his own son to rescue me. That's my story and I'm sticking with it!
Email Our EldersThe shepherds at Herrin are deeply spiritual men who are charged with helping people grow deeper in faith and encouraging them in in times of trial. They are alway available for church members.

The deacons at Herrin are men who are willing to serve as ministry leaders. While not all of our ministries are led by deacons, they exibit the true heart of disciple of Christ by their willignness to dedicate time and effort toward the ministries they lead.
