When many people think about church, they picture a building. . .
When God thinks about church,
he pictures people.
Anyone who has committed his life to Jesus is part of God's family, his church. That's the same thought in Paul's mind, who said that the church is really people who have been, "sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy" (1 Corinthians 1:2).
It's these precious people that make the Herrin church of Christ so special -- people who are committed to turn away from worldliness and follow the example of Jesus. We meet together every week to strengthen and encourage each other, but there's more to the church than weekly meetings. We are building a lifelong relationship with God and selfless dedication to others who have made the same commitment. It's about experiencing and sharing true love.
